Hampta pass trek connect Kullu valley with Lahaul valley at an altitude of 14,100 feet.It is one of the delightful trek in Manali region of Himachal Pradesh. Hampta Pass Trek is a moderate trek with landscape variations from thick forest, lush green grass to barren landscape of Lahaul. Visit to Chandratal lake will be like cherry on the cake. It is considered as a moderate trek and is suitable for beginners as well as experienced trekkers. Each of the campsites on this trek are very pretty.
This trek has a lot of variation in the trails which makes this trekking expedition exciting.

How to get yourself fit for the trek
As we gain higher altitude, the air becomes thinner. To overcome this we need to develop our aerobic fitness. The more fitter you are, you will enjoy more during the trek. Hampta pass is a moderate trek, so proper fitness is required for this trek is recommended
Difficulty Level- MODERATE
1: For cardiovascular endurance, begin jogging atleast 1 month before the trek.
2: For strength do squats, push ups. Fitness Bechmark: Jog/Run for 5 Kms in 30 mins.
Remember always start your training program with stretching and warm up exercises.

1) Good quality trekking shoes(preferably high ankle).
2) Rucksack(40-60 litres).
3) Rain cover.
4) 2 water bottles.
5)Torch with spare batteries.
6) A trekking pole.
