Day 1
Departure from Delhi to Manali in evening(520Kms,12Hrs).
  • At 6 PM, we will gather at majnu ka tila and will head towards Manali by Volvo. Overnight journey to manali and will check -in to the hotel.
Day 2
Arrival at Manali. Overnight stay in Manali.
  • Meals: Dinner In morning, arrive at Manali.Check-in and take rest.Explore Manali(on your own). Overnight stay in Manali in Hotel/Homestay/Camps.
Day 3
Drive from Manali-Rohtang Pass-Kaza.(200Kms, 9-20Hrs).
  • Meals: Dinner Today we will drive to Kaza. Today we will cross two high altitudes pass i.e Rohtang pass(13,050ft) and Kunzum pass(15,060ft). After Crossing the Rohtang pass, we will witness the sudden change in landscape as we will enter into a high altitude desert,leaving behind the green valley of kullu. The drive to Kaza is full of scenic landscape. Overnight stay in Kaza in Hotel/Homestay/Camps.
Day 4
Spiti Local Sightseeing(Ki, Kibber, Hikkim, Langza, Komic- Kibber).Overnight stay in Kaza(5-6 Hrs).
  • Meals: Breakfast and Dinner After breakfast, today we will visit some of the highest inhabited regions of the world. Komic village- The highest village in the Asia- situated at a height of 4587m. It is famous for Lundup Tsemo Gompa Buddhist Monastery. It is believed that the monastery has 'Matrey Buddha,' or 'the future Buddha,' who looks after the well being of the people of Komik Village. Hikkim- World’s Highest post office where we have a chance to send the postcards to dear ones. Langza- The main attraction at Langza is to collect fossils and to visit the monastery. Fossils of marine creatures and plants are found in plenty under the sedimentary rocks. These fossils are around millions of years old. Key monastery-Key monastery stands like a majestic fortress on the banks of Spiti river. Standing alone in a flat bowl, the monastery is surrounded by barren mountains, adding to its distinct charm. Key monastery offers a wonderful opportunity to stay and experience the life of lamas. Its an experience you'll cherish throughout your life! Kibber- At an altitude of 4000m just a few kms ahead of Key Monastery is a beautiful village called Kibber. Sometime back this village had an authority of being the highest motorable village in Asia before Komic took the crown. Kibber is also home to Snow Leopards and sightings have been known to have happened in the surrounding mountains. Overnight stay in kaza in Hotel/Homestay/Camps.
Day 5
Drive from Kaza-Pin Valley-Dhankar-Tabo(80Kms,6-7Hrs).
  • Meals: Breakfast and Dinner After breakfast, we will head towards Pin Valley. Southeast of Kaza, the Spiti River is joined by the Pin River, flowing out of a wind-scoured but beautiful valley from the heights of the Great Himalayan Range. Imagine a national park with an abundance of animals and birds, with some rare plant varieties, a river that gushes when it isn’t frozen and trekking opportunities for the adventure-seekers. The Pin Valley promises all this and more. We first visit the Kungri Monastery and then the beautiful hamlet of Mudh – the last motorable village of the Pin Valley. Declared a national park in 1987, Pin Valley has altitudes ranging from 11,000 to 20,000 feet and is home to at least 12 endangered snow leopards. In addition, other animals indigenous to the region and park are the Siberian ibex, bharal, weasel, red fox, and marten. Birds such as the pika, griffon, golden eagle, bearded vulture, Chukor and Raven paint the skies a pretty picture. After spending some time in Pin Valley, we will hhead towards Dhankar Monastery. Perched high above the confluence of the Spiti and Pin River, in a hidden bowl, is the tiny hamlet of Dhankar. The former capital of the Royals of Spiti Valley, also known as the Nono, who ruled the dust-coloured badlands of Spiti Valley. Go back in time as you explore the 1200-year-old Dhankar Gompa which perches precariously between eroded rocky pinnacles on the edge of a cliff. If time permits, do take an hour’s climb above the village to visit the stunning turquoise Dhankar Tso or Dhankar Lake which offers views over the valley and towards the twin peaks of Mane Rang (6593 meters). Later, we will drive to Tabo. Overnight stay in Tabo in Homestay/hotel.
Day 6
Drive from Tabo- Kunzum Pass- Batal- Chandratal lake.(150Kms,8-9 Hrs).
  • Meals: Breakfast and Dinner. After breakfast, We start the day with Visit to the 1021 -year old Tabo monastery, UNESCO world heritage site. Walk around this sacred site and gain a deeper knowledge of buddhism. Later, we will drive to Chnadratal lake.The mystical and beautiful Chandratal Lake, which translates to Moon Lake, is located at a height of 14,100 feet. The Chandra Bhaga mountain range forms a striking backdrop for the lake, which changes appearance according to the pictures painted in the sky. After capturing the colours of the beautiful Chandratal Lake, we drive to our camping site where a hot supper under the gaze of a million stars and the Milky Way awaits us. Overnight stay at Chandratal in Camps.
Day 7
Drive From Chandratal lake- Chattru- Rohtang pass- Manali. Departure from Manali to Delhi.
  • Meals: Breakfast. After breakfast, we will drive our way back to manali via Rohtang pass. Departure from Manali to delhi in evening. Next day, arrival at Delhi(Early morning). Your tour ends after reaching New Delhi.

Spiti Road Trip Includes :- 

 

  • All accommodation at homestays and hotels.
  • Transportation in Tempo traveller, Sumo or Xylo from Shimla to Spiti and back.
  •  Breakfast and dinner at all hotels/homestay/camps except in Manali. In Manali, only breakfast will be their(Starting from Day2 dinner to Day 7 Dinner. On Day3 in Manali, breakfast is not included )
  • Oxygen cylinder to travel during High Altitude.
  • Assistance of Tour Coordinators from start to end of the tour.

• 1 heavy Thick jacket/down jacket

• At least 2 long pants (trek pants and cargo pants are favorable)
• 4 sets of undergarments
• 2 pair of socks
• A small towel
• A rain jacket or a poncho

• Above-the-ankle waterproof and breathable hiking boots with good grip
• Flip flops/sandals

• One strip of Diamox
• Glucose powder
• medicines for headaches, diarrhea, motion and altitude sickness
