Day 1
Departure from Delhi to Shimla(7Hrs).
  • Around 10 PM, we will gather at majnu ka tila and will head towards Shimla by Volvo.Overnight journey to Shimla.
Day 2
Drive from Shimla-Narkanda(2-3Hrs, 65Kms).
  • After reaching Shimla, we will head towards Narkanda.Our first-day destination is Narkanda which is about 120 kms from Shimla and will take around 3-4 hrs to reach. Narkanda is a small but beautiful town and known for its apple orchards. While crossing the mountains, you will find several points with scenic views. After reaching Narkanda, explore the place. We leave for Hatu Peak hike post lunch after resting for a while at the property. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel/homestay/camps at Narkanda. Note: This day is majorly for acclimatization purpose.
Day 3
Drive from Narkanda-Sangla-Chitkul(6-7Hrs,240Kms).
  • On the second day of the tour, we will be travelling from Narkanda to Chitkul. Chitkul is 240 km from Narkanda and is a small beautiful village lies near the border and India and Tibet. Chitkul is the last inhabited village in this region. We will reach Chitkul by evening. Go for a stroll near the riverside. Dinner and overnight stay at Chitkul in hotel/homestay/camps.
Day 4
Drive from Chitkul-Kalpa(3-4HrsHrs,65Kms).
  • After breakfast, we will head towards Kalpa. Kalpa, a small but beautiful town situated in the Sutlej river valley of the Kinnaur district. While crossing the mountains, you will find several points with scenic views. Is also the starting point of Kinnar Kailash trek. After reaching the place rest for a while and can explore the location in the evening. The narrow streets leading to Mata Mandir is a good hike. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel/homestay at Kalpa.
Day 5
Drive from Kalpa-Nako-Tabo(7-8 Hrs,160Kms).
  • from Kalpa, we continue driving on the famous Hindustan – Tibet Highway or the NH 22 – This stretch is famously known as one of “most treacherous roads of the world” by the lonely planet in a visual spectacle. Don’t let that little piece of information deter you because your local drivers are highly skilled and experienced while driving on these roads. As you begin embracing the jaw-dropping views watch the mountains change their colours from the lush greens of the Kinnaur valley to the many hues of brown. After a quick refueling stop at Pooh, we proceed to Nako – the last hamlet of Kinnaur, before we enter the gates of Spiti Valley. After lunch in Nako, we drive through Sumdo, the first village of Spiti Valley on this road, to Tabo, which would be our first stop in the glorious, mystical Spiti Valley. The second largest village of the Spiti Valley, Tabo, is known worldwide for its 1000-year-old Tabo Monastery. Walk around this UNESCO world heritage site and gain a deeper insight into Buddhism. Unlike other monasteries in the Spiti Valley, the Tabo monastery is located at the bottom of the valley. Overnight at a hotel/homestay in Tabo.
Day 6
Drive from Tabo-Dhankar-Pin Valley-Kaza(6-7Hrs,120Kms).
  • After breakfast, We start the day with Visit to the 1021 -year old Tabo monastery, UNESCO world heritage site. Walk around this sacred site and gain a deeper knowledge of buddhism. From Tabo, will visit Dhankar moanstery and than will visit PIn valley ,Kungri monastery , Mudh village (Last village of Pin Valley). Will drive back to Kaza. Overnight stay at hotel/homestay in Kaza.
Day 7
Drive From Kaza-Key-Kibber-Hikkim-Langza-Komic-Kaza(5-6Hrs).
  • Today we cover the remaining major locations in Spiti Valley. Start our day after breakfast and towards Komik which is 25 kms from Kaza. Our first stop will be at Langza, famous for the big Buddha Statue, which is en route Komik and 18 km from Kaza. Spend some time at Komik, the highest inhabited village in the world. Get clicking with the locals and spend some time at the monastery. Later start your journey to Hikkim, the hight post office in the world, which is about 5 km from Komik. Send postcards to your near and dear ones. Visit the beautiful Key Monastery, which at one time acted as a fort. Explore the amazing culture of the people living there. Move further to Kibber which is at a height of 4200 mts and is the highest inhabited village in the region. Return to Kaza by evening. Evening at leisure for cafe hopping and local market. Dinner and Night stay at Kaza.
Day 8
Drive from Kaza-Losar-Kunzum Pass-Chandratal lake(6-7Hrs, 105Kms).
  • On the eighth day of this Spiti Valley tour, we drive to one of the most photogenic places in Spiti Valley – the Chandratal Lake. Before that, we pass through the high altitude pass of Kunzum La. Stop by at the stupa and pay tribute to the local goddess, “Kuzum Mata” as she's known. At 15,000 feet above sea-level, the Kuzum Pass connects Kullu and Lahaul to the Spiti Valley. From there, we will head towards one of the most scenic lakes in India, i.e., Chandra tal also called as Moon Lake.The lake is beautiful, surrounded by mountains and is situated at an altitude of 4300 meters. Enjoy the views, get yourself clicked with the lake and spend some leisure time. Dinner and overnight stay in camps at Chandra Taal.
Day 9
Drive from Chandratal-Chattru-Rohtang Pass-Manali-Delhi(6-7Hrs,125Kms and than 11-12 hours from Manali to Delhi in Volvo.).Reach Delhi next morning.
  • Today is the last day of our trip and our last day in Spiti Valley. We start from Chandrataal lake after breakfast. We will be crossing the Bada Darra and Chota Darra before reaching Rohtang Pass. Spend some time at the pass. ( We will be leaving from the campsite by 5 am, as with time the water level in both the Darras increase. So it is safe to start early and probably spend some time after crossing them). Reach Manali by late afternoon. We will head towards Delhi from Manali in Volvo.We will reach Delhi next early morning. Note: Whosoever wants to explore Manali, can stay in manali(Expense of hotel will be bear on its own).
